Electrochemistry Cell

The Dimension Electrochemistry Cell which has been superseded by the General Purpose Electrochemistry Cell and is shown in Figure 1, accommodates circular or rectangular samples between 33 mm to 41 mm diameter (or length of the rectangle) and includes the following components:

  1. Base: The nickel plated tungsten alloy (for improved thermal conductivity) base includes 4 nickel plated NdFeB magnets, shown in Figure 2, to secure the EC cell to the EC chuck.
  2. A TeflonĀ® clamp used to secure and seal the sample to the base. This clamp incorporates a 0.010" lip, shown in Figure 3, designed to seal against your sample.
  3. Electrodes

The maximum sample size is 41 mm, square or round. See Figure 4. The maximum scan size is 10mm.
