Heater/Cooler TappingMode Probe Holder

The ceramic Heater/Cooler probe holder allows for cantilever oscillation, tip heating, gas purging, and insulates the thermally sensitive scan tube from the Heating and Cooling Elements. Included with the probe holder is a silicone rubber seal that acts as a sealed sample chamber for controlled-atmosphere AFM operations. The land on the bottom face of the holder seals the top end of the silicone rubber seal.

The Heater/Cooler TappingMode probe holder requires its own station on the probe loading stand. This station incorporates an extra pin that opens the probe holder spring clip and allows the probe to be inserted into the probe holder:
