Define the Area to Cover

To begin the Calibration procedure, the system will ask you to identify the same identifiable feature on three optical images within the area of interest. You will also identify the probe tip location.

Starting from the center of the image, the system will move the probe following a fixed scheme for linear interpolation.

The MIRO registration procedure for linear interpolation:

  1. Ensure the video panel is open in the NanoScope 8.15 main window (if it is not, click the Video button in the tool bar).
  1. In The Registration Tab of the MIRO canvas, click the Calibrate button to open the Registration wizard:

(Hover over the image to view larger)

  4. Close the Video Options dialog.
