How to make a list of CMR products, KLARA

CMR (Cancerous, Mutagenic, Reproductive harmful) products must be treated careful. A CMR investigation should be done for each procedure involving a CMR registered product. This is to ensure that there are no other, less dangerous products that could be used instead. A form should be filled out and signed by a responsible and knowledgeable person.

To find out what CMR products you have registered in you lab/department you can use KLARA. See the screenshot below how to do this.

Use Registration - Search products and click on the department/group you are working for.

  

In the Only include products listed as: the CMR-substances is chosen.

You can select products that have not been discarded which would be the natural choice to find out what CMR products you currently have. But you can also choose to list discarded products or all.

Click Search to generate the list.

  

A list will be generated, displayed in your browser. You can also download it as an excel file, you click on the XLS icon

You can make a new search with another criteria by clicking the
<‐ Search products, this will take you back to the previous page.

You can also search for products where CMR substances are parts of a mixture. However, if the amount of CMR-substance in a mixture is sufficiently low there is no need for a CMR-investigation. So this type of listing will list more products than need a CMR-investigation.
