Before you try this more advanced restart, please try the simple restart. It involves only restart of the computer and is faster.

In order to put the FEI Nova 200 into standby mode do the following: Exit from user interface Pop up the server window by double-clicking on the blue top-bar Click stop button to stop all services All the green bullets in the lower pane should eventually become black Click the Standby button The system should go into standby, both computers should be shut off, the front panel light (yellow) should indicate standby. Wait some 30 seconds. In order to turn on the system again: Turn on system with power on button at center of main base Turn on each computer (two) with their respective front panel button Log on with appropriate user If the FEG-source (E-gun) has to be started, log on with full service functionality. Use Alignment 5 - Emitter Startup to start the source.
