PFM Vertical and Horizontal Domains Operation

	Click the Select Experiment icon to open the Select Experiment window.
	Select the following: Experiment Category: Electrical & Magnetic Experiment Group: Piezoresponse Select Experiment: Piezoresponse - Vertical & Horizontal Domains
	Click Load Experiment.

Several probe types are available for PFM imaging. See PFM Probe Selection for recommended probes.

Set the Vertical Deflection to 0 V.

Several controls are available to assist the user in focusing on the sample surface. See Focus on the Sample Surface for details.

If electrostatic discharge is a concern, set the AC Bias to Disabled before engaging the sample.

You can engage on the sample with a single click of the Engage button. See Engage, Scan, & Withdraw for general information about these steps.

To obtain both Vertical and Horizontal PFM data, the NanoScope V Generic Lock-Ins must be set up to route the correct drive signals. See Set Up the Generic Lock-In Interface for detailed instructions.
