The Recipes Cookbook

"Recipes" is an optional package of features that allows Bruker SPM users to easily automate many aspects of NanoScope 8.15 software. Recipes bring the full power of an XML scripting language to control the microscope's functions to users without the need of learning how to write the code. Recipes are constructed, modified and executed through an easy-to-use graphical interface.

Both realtime and offline aspects of the software may be controlled with recipes. These capabilities are especially useful when the user is performing repeated similar tasks. Recipes is especially appropriate for users who wish to automate the process of:

• Imaging many sites on a single sample
• Imaging the same sites on multiple similar samples (such as wafers)
• Imaging multiple (different) types of measurements on the same sample
• Creating a paneled mosaic of images
• Performing complex combinations of offline analysis on batches of images
• Creating detailed custom formatted data reports of any automated process

The Recipes package is available as an additional plug-in to the NanoScope software package.

Although the Recipes software package is compatible with NanoScope Software version 7.20 or later, Bruker recommends using Recipes with microscopes that use motion stages to permit movement from sample to sample and sample alignment capabilities.
